In Memory of Sylvia Mary Turner

Sylvia Mary Turner was 94 years old when she completed the first part of this AI course — a moment that still fills us with pride.

In her earlier years, problems were solved with law books, careful reading, and determination. There was no outside help — just persistence, curiosity, and hard work.

When she saw AI being used day to day, that same curiosity took hold. What began as interest quickly turned into enthusiasm, and she embraced learning something entirely new in her nineties.

On 23 August 2024, at the age of 94, she earned her very first AI certificate. She was so proud — and rightly so. That day was marked with flowers, smiles, and a celebration of what lifelong learning truly means.
